  • Hybrid workouts: These are excellent specifically for developing long-term endurance. The focus is on steady effort, where we combine intensive cardio (rowing, running, biking) with movements using lighter weights.

Kuidas CrossFit treeningud erinevad tavalisest jõusaalitreeningust?

CrossFit and traditional gym training both support good health, but their approach and training structure are completely different. The main differences are as follows:

  • Functionality vs. Isolation: In a standard gym, muscles are often trained in isolation while sitting on machines. CrossFit focuses on functional multi-joint exercises that mimic everyday movements and train your body as a single, cohesive unit.

You can register for CrossFit KeKo workouts quickly and easily directly on our website or through our app. Since we are located in the heart of Tallinn, in Kalamaja (Soo 4), getting to us is logistically simple and convenient.

To start training and get to know us, you have two great options, depending on what suits you best:

  • Come for a free trial (directly to a group class): You don't necessarily have to wait for a new course to start, as completing the ABC course is not mandatory! You are welcome to join our regular group sessions at any time, and your first trial session is completely free. If it's your first time, just mention to the coach at the start of the session that you are a beginner. Our coaches are very experienced and know how to immediately adapt every exercise and weight to match your level and abilities. You are in safe hands!

  • Start with the ABC course: If you prefer to start step-by-step alongside other beginners and learn the basic techniques at a calm pace specifically designed for this purpose, our four-part ABC course is the ideal choice for you.

es, absolutely! CrossFit is one of the most effective ways to develop your cardiovascular health and aerobic capacity (i.e., cardio).

Although CrossFit is also known for strength exercises, nearly every workout (WOD, or Workout of the Day) includes raising your heart rate and intense movement, also known as metabolic conditioning (metcon), as an integral part.

How do we do cardio at CrossFit KeKo?

  • Classic cardio elements: Our workouts regularly include rowing, running, biking (on Assault or Echo bikes), and jump rope.

  • Variety: This isn't just a monotonous hour of running on a treadmill. We combine cardio movements with bodyweight and lighter strength exercises, which keeps the training intense, burns calories effectively, and builds your endurance very quickly.

  • Specialized endurance sessions: If you want to focus specifically on cardio capacity, you can find Hybrid classes in our schedule. These are designed specifically for developing long-term endurance, where we move for longer periods more continuously using lighter weights. Our longer Partner WODs (team workouts) are also excellent for cardio.
